Don’t forget the flock book closes for the year TODAY. Please ensure you have completed your census and transferred or killed off any animals you no longer own.
Also please ensure you have birth notified your 2018 lambs, registered any shearlings going to the tup for the first time (and of course any tups you are using).
Birth notification is free – you don’t need to register this year’s lambs, unless you are selling them, this allows you to watch them over the spring / summer and decide which to keep, sell or butcher before registering them later on in the year.
Do remember it is up to the seller to register sheep not the buyer.
